Now is a historic time in Australian business for mergers and acquisitions.  As early as February this year, the AFR published a quote saying, "the RBA stimulus strategy will lead to an explosion in mergers and acquisitions".

Yet anyone who has been throughM&A's as a front-line employee knows they can make the workplace uncomfortable. In fact, the best time to join an organisation that has merged with or acquired multiple businesses is eight to twelve months after the fact.

Our friend and client is just such an organisation. Built upon the convergence of four different brands, our client is now arguably the most diverse data and analytics software and services business on the planet.

Headquartered in the USA, the organisation is growing its APAC footprint. They are now looking for a SeniorEnterprise Salesperson, reporting to the Senior Director of Sales APAC. 

This is a new business focused role.Yet 80% of this client’s new business comes from existing accounts. Due to the diversity in their product mix, selling a different solution into an existing client can mean talking to completely different areas of the business.

The role also involves deepening existing relationships with key partners such as Snowflake, ServiceNow andDataBricks. 

In this role, you can expect to: 

  • Communicate the client's value proposition and drive insightful  client engagements across various business functions (i.e. IT Operations,  Core Business Units, Analytics and Compliance.)
  • Foster pipeline growth through effective prospecting and  opportunity generation activities
  • Work closely with a team of senior APAC leaders collaborating to  grow the business in Australia
  • Build and manage all stages of the sales process to consistently  achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets 
  • Work closely with the client’s Pre-sales and Professional Services teams to create compelling business propositions 
  • Contribute to market strategy by monitoring market data,  competitive products and customer feedback
  • Present products and/or solutions engagingly and confidently to individuals and customer groups
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and partners through a  collaborative, trust-based approach 
  • Be mentored and supported by senior enterprise sellers or APAC Sales leaders to nurture your career in the organisation


To be suitable, you may have some of the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in ICT, Business or related field, or equivalent experience (desired)
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise software sales
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels with prospects, customers, partners and your fellow team members 
  • Good business maturity, negotiating and decision-making skills 
  • Basic to intermediate technical understanding of ICT concepts and architecture
