I am SO excited to tell you about this client. After my colleague and I met their Head of Sales yesterday, we walked out the door, and the first thingI said was, “oh my god, that is absolutely my new favourite client”. Here’s whyI loved them, and you will too:

·       Their office is great. Modern, full of people doing interesting work, and in a great location with a pool table, huge kitchen &table tennis tables

·       We met several members of their team, and they were lovely. Modest, easy to talk to, and they greeted us warmly  

·       Their Head of Sales (whom this role reports to) is an absolute champion. Authentic, generous, I felt immediately comfortable with him

The organisation is a Fintech Startup. They are a technology company bringing a new platform to the financial services industry that makes it radically easier for organisations to manage payments. A few fintech’s are popping up in recent years. However, what sets these guys apart is that they have a great proposition and are financially backed by some of the biggest names in technology(literally, the biggest). Good financial foundations, a good product and a great local team in high growth startup mode. Sounds good, right?


They are now recruiting a Sales Development Representative. It is a growth role, reporting to the Head of Sales, who will be a brilliant coach and mentor. In this role, you can expect to:


·      Generate interest through prospecting: mainly via outbound but with some inbound.

·      Supporting a series of marketing campaigns and events.

·      Establishing the value proposition of their products within their core verticals 

·      Adopting a multi-channel approach using a world class tech stack

·      Work 1-1 with an experienced Account Executive to engage new sales opportunities


To be suitable for this role, you need some (but not all) of the following:

  • Outbound sales experience (email / call / LinkedIn / events)
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with a hunger to succeed
  • Persistence, sales spirit and objection handling skills are     critical.
  • Experience using Salesforce, working in a start-up or FinTech is     beneficial but not required
