Launched in 2008, our client is oneAustralia’s leading payment service providers. They service thousands of businesses across Australia with their innovative payment solutions, and partner with the likes of Visa, Qantas Loyalty, American Express and Verifone.


They are now seeking a full-time ProductDesigner with plenty of experience in user research and design projects to join a growing and fast-paced multi-national team. Reporting directly to the SeniorProduct Manager, this role will work with stakeholders to understand customer needs while working alongside a development team designing engaging experiences for the customer. This unique opportunity works across the full product suite, and allows you to bring your customer empathy and insights, analytical abilities and creativity to both the broader business and multiple product teams.


Key Responsibilities include:

·      Plan, estimate and execute a‘Discovery and Design’ process with customer-centred design principles and usability testing methods at the centre.

·      Choose and deliver the rightUX activities for the job and budgets at hand.

·      Run and facilitate Discovery activities; understanding the business and customers’ needs through workshopping, process mapping, market analysis, and customer research.

·      Overseeing and transitioning broad Digital Strategies into the Design phase.

·      Facilitate and conduct UX, Design and User Testing workshops with external stakeholders.

·      Create and introduce efficient and reusable design assets and templates, using component-led design thinking.

·      Clearly articulate and delegate tasks to other UX designers, whilst sharing knowledge and skills.Mentoring and assisting the team.

·      Writing and maintaining documentation based on your Discovery and Design work. Ensuring you have communicated decisions and functionality clearly to the team and our customers.


What you might bring to the table:

·      5+ years working in interaction, service and/or product design

·      Experience working with complex B2B2C SAAS, Payments, Payment Gateway or eCommerce products is a plus

·      Ability to take complex ideas and turn them into simple, enjoyable narratives

·      Experience running lightweight, lean design experiments

·      A passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our customers

·      Experience in leading projects in the strategic phase - defining requirements, gathering generative data, and connecting with customer needs

·      The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in a fast- paced environment
