Unlike much of the fintech sector, this organisation is purpose-driven, focused on financial wellness. They’ve just completed a funding round, and now there’s an opening on the executive team.  

One of the most significant technological advancements of today’s society is the increased ease of moving money. We can buy something without having the funds in our account; we can digitally transfer hundreds of millions of dollars nearly instantaneously, at little to no cost (think crypto, for example).

What about friends sharing money, kids purchasing via their parents, or shouting a birthday lunch for a friend despite being geographically separated.

This organisation is not about spending money you don’t have. This organisation is about sharing the money you do have while also promoting financial wellness.

Our friend and client is a purpose-driven, fintech start-up. After a recent, highly successful round of funding, our client is looking for a General Manager Commercial to join their growing team of passionate, purpose-driven people on a mission to make a positive contribution to financial services industry.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Work closely with the executive on Go-To-Market strategy
  • Lead, inspire and manage a team of passionate, purpose-driven customer-facing staff
  • Recruit new talent to join your team
  • Build and deliver a strategy to acquire new customers in the B2B space
  • Drive revenue growth for the organisation through strategy and team execution
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and achievement-oriented culture, both in and around your team
  • Be a source of good commercial acumen in the growth of a B2B merchant focused financial technology that is new to market

To be suitable to apply, you might have some (but does not have to be all) of the following:

  • Minimum five years experience in building, scaling and managing high performing B2B sales teams
  • Experience in eCommerce platforms and their associated plug-in’s and apps, with API’s a plus
  • Proven track record of growing a payments platform or similar paradigm or experience working at a management level within an established payments provider  
  • Industry experience in the payments space is a significant plus
  • Experience building a supportive, engaged and achievement-oriented team culture
